Love the look and fit of these! I didnt wanna buy 2 sets just to use 2 of the 4 matching pairs and I'm glad I didint because the color differences are not as drastic as they look in the picture. Love they way they look together. I got the 2mm(They are Tiny)! So you have to be very careful puting them in. I could imagine that if you dropped a tip you would probaby never find it. Also if you put them in a lobe piercing like mine it will be difficult as you are stretching them a little. I decided it's worth it to have flat backs. Ill update if I have a reaction but I would assume they really are stainless steel and would therefor be just fine.

a little short for my lips, i had to use my original swell bar and just put the opal on there. it could just be that my lip is too thick for a smaller bar. if you have an internally threaded bar you can use it'll fit!

Super cute , very tiny. I got the 2mm set. Be careful placing them, sadly I already lost one when I dropped it on the floor. Also these are not good for fresh piercings, they irretated my purcings pretty badly and i had to remove them (they are stainless steel, not surgical steel) , but I assume different people have different reactions to the metal. I m wearing them only in my healed piercings.

It only took about a day for the tip to come unscrewed on the first one I wore, and that was after it took a ridiculous amount of time just to get the pieces apart so that I could wear it. The threaded bit is too tiny to stay screwed into the base without constantly twisting it back. This is the second time I've ordered this product, and nothing about it has improved. Next time I'll just go to Spencer's.

I searched amazon with Medusa piercing and this came up. The length wasn’t long enough when I went to put it in. So putting the stone on was a pain. When I was at dinner I heard it pop off. This is the teeniest tiny most ridiculously small will never find again stud. I was on vacation. So I was walking around with a hole above my lip for two days.Don’t get me wrong, this opal jewelry was beautiful. Don’t say it can be a Medusa though. I’m sure in the tragus or other ear piercings it would be great.

Bought these to replace an opal end that fell off my medusa labret.The gems themselves are cute, but it was hard to get them into the 16g titanium post I already had. The threaded part is so short.Internal threading is pretty hit or miss, the post gauge is standardized but the threading varies a little. Short 'stems' are already hard to work with and won't always fit a post of the same gauge.It was a little easier to get them into the post they came with, but the stainless steel started to cause irritation after about a month. My piercing is two years old, but doesn't take steel well.They are worth what you pay for them, but if it gets irritated go for something titanium from an online piercing shop.
