I ordered two sets of two, to be used with another product (spike caps to replace the ball ends) which didn't show up, so I ended up just using these as placeholders for the time being. They do the job, pretty well. They look good in my ear even thought I put them in backwards. So, I have 3 ball ends inside the outer edge of my ear, while the outer edge itself has flat backing to prevent snags on my winter hat. It wasn't what I intended to do, but it's actually turned out to be really beneficial to my ear, to have it like this for the winter. Eventually I'll get the 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 inch black spike ends, and replace the balls, so I can wear the right-side out. But, for now, these are excellent.

I use these for my snake bites and they're perfect. Good length, look great, and the ball stays on perfectly. I don't feel them rub against my teeth or gums at all.
