The diameter of my stone is about 1 and 1/8 inches, where the ones in the product pictures looks to be a huge 2 to 3 inches. I'm happy with the smaller size as it more tasteful and less like a statement, but others may be disappointed if they expect theirs to be at least 1.5 inches as described in the listing. The surface of mine is also very smooth and highly polished, unlike the rough, textured surface pictured. I would have preferred a more rustic finish/look but can live with the smooth finish). The cord is permanently tied with no clasp, so you have to slip it over your head. It is just long enough to slip over my head if I don't anchor it under my chin first. It hangs about mid chest/a few inches below my armpits, so the length is good. Unlike the one pictured, mine has a complicated looking method of attaching the cord to the stone. Instead of the cord simply being fed through the stone and knotted through itself as pictured, there are multiple materials used. There is a small knot, a small black ball, a small black ring, a larger knot, and another black ring. I can use one of these 2 small rings to make the length of the necklace more like a choker if I slip it down the length of the cord before putting it on, and then push if closer to my neck while holding the cord to shorten the length of the necklace once it is on. I don't know if this would work long term or hold throughout the day. The thing I do not like is that the cord does not pass through the very teeny tiny hole in the stone (it is much too thick). Instead, there is a frail looking piece of string that attaches the cord to the stone that looks like it is not going to last very long. Otherwise, I can see myself wearing this piece often.
