This is exactly what I wanted - very small and simple. It has a completely smooth, shiny gold surface on both front and back. Although it's called a "Coin" pendant be aware that it's considerably smaller than any real coin. It's about the size of a larger sequin. The only thing that remains to be seen is how long the shiny plating will last, but that's to be expected. Nice, understated necklace.

The pendant is small as i had hoped and it does not tarnish at all. If you're looking for something simple yet cute and goes with everything i recommend this! Might get another one but in silver.
