About Freshwater Cultured Pearls
Chinese freshwater cultured pearls are cultivated in a river mussel called the tetragon shell mussel ( hyriopsis cumingii) and its hybrids. They range in size from 2-14mm and occur naturally in a variety of hues including white, ivory, pink, blush, peach and lavender purple, and can be enhanced to a silver and black color. Freshwater pearls are known for their wide variety of shapes including round, drop, button, baroque, and various free-form shapes.
Find the Right Fit
The fit of a pearl strand bracelet will be tighter as the size of the pearls get larger. It’s important to choose the right bracelet length. Measure your wrist circumference with a tape measure, and then use this chart to select the length that is right for you. (A woman who wears a size 8-10 will have a wrist size around 6".)

The bracelet looks lovely but the elastic cord is stretching out and there is a growing separation of the pearls. I know it's not the most expensive bracelet but it also wasn't $5. I am disappointed that I don't feel comfortable wearing it 6 months later because I am afraid the string is going to come apart.

The bracelet runs large. If you have a 7” wrist make sure you order the 7” bracelet even if the companies suggestion is that you get an 8”. The pearls are beautiful and have a high luster.
