Chain bar doesn't stay where it's intended

I purchased this for my 8-year old That struggles from sensory overload and has a difficult time expressing his emotions so he gets very frustrated, angry and antsy with school back in session I was worried. It was suggested to me that I get him some sort of fidget to help... So my child chose this necklace. It has. A toggle clasp which I thought would be easier if he wanted to take it off. However, the bar on the toggle clasp is not long enough to stay close. No matter how you try it falls straight out and the necklace falls off. A big waste of money. My child was extremely upset and I was very disappointed.
