excellent gold plating. I mix this with Ross Simmons byzantine gold bracelet with real gold. Can't honestly tell.the difference.This item is not thick and the byzantine style does not look accentuated like their photos. They take these photos real up close.I thought I got a different item since actual vs display photo looked quite different. Until I took a photo of the item myself. When I first saw this ring I fell in love. My first order, they sent me the wrong size.The second order, (because the first one was refunded), I received the correct size.Thought it looked too gold almost pinkish, but was soo happy to get it I started wearing it immediately.The strange color wore off with the first week, OK was starting to look normal. by the 2nd week I could see the silver showing through, and then low and behold my finger started turning green from the ring!!This does not happen with REAL Sterling silver, and REAL gold overlay. Haven't even had it a month! Seriously don't waste your money.
