The detail and different metal colors show up beautifully and really accentuate the design nicely. The earrings are lightweight and comfortable to wear, and are absolutely gorgeous. These earrings are very pretty, don't get me wrong. I ordered the March daffodil ones. But, the design just left me wanting something a little bit nicer. I would say that they are true sterling silver. I wore them several times so far and they haven't hurt or irritated my sensitive ears at all. They did come nicely packaged in a gift box, so they could be given as a present. They do have a drop to them, but aren't too long or gaudy at all.
