So cute for $3! I recommend if you just want costume jewelry, the gold is obviously only 8K. The paint on the red rose is surprisingly vibrant, great for adults or children. It's a nice size, more of a pendant size than a charm.

This is a beautiful necklace. The links are sturdy, the clasp is not-too-big-but-still-big-enough-to-use, and the paint job is perhaps one of the most perfect paint jobs I've ever seen in necklaces of this sort (it looks way better in person than in the picture.)In fact, I have several flower-themed and rose necklaces, but the paint on this one is the best I've seen so far (especially up-close.)The rose is not too big, but also not too small: I'm 5"4. This rose is approximately 1/4th scale (meaning it's a tiny bit bigger than a rose that a 1/6 scale Barbie might hold.) This is a great size: it's large enough to be seen by people talking to me, but not so large that it could be mistaken for costume jewelry or circa-2009-middle-school "bling." I think it's perfect for my intended uses: casual Friday, and even nights out on the town, shopping, etc. But I wouldn't suggest it for ultra-conservative or formal events (i.e. weddings and funerals), because it WILL attract attention, lol. There is nothing understated about this piece-- it screams "enchanted fairy-tale princess," not "I'm going to a job interview" (unless you're in a creative field where statement pieces like these can be worn to interviews without fear of getting judged. Sigh. This necklace is so cute, and I'd wear it everywhere if I could. But alas, you can't always look like a princess.)Although this necklace isn't flashy, it also isn't understated-- it definitely a centerpiece that screams "enchanted fairy tale princess." And even though most of us can't always dress like something out of a Disney movie, this is nice for the times you can. Honestly, I think it's is a lovely nod to my favorite fairy-tale (Beauty and the Beast.) I like it for that, and would recommend it to anyone else who wants a little magic and whimsy in their jewelry.Overall, I'm delighted with this piece :))!
