The leather is a quality leather band . I would not hesitate to buy it again . I have a few watches but I love my timex With either the braided band or the faux alligator band . Unfortunately there are less and less places to go to get the band replaced these days . I actually managed to go this myself at home because this replacement band is perfectly made to fit and with a bit of pressure with help from small pliers it set in beautifully without a lot of fighting . It stayed on and is firmly set . With months and months of use it still looks great. The leather is better than I have bought in years . I hope they don’t change this quality . It’s a great buy !

I needed a replacement band for a vintage wrist watch for my wife. Thankfully I had a micrometer and was able to get an accurate measurement of the lugs size of the watch. I needed a 10mm band, and searched Amazon. I found this band from Rechere. It has an alligator pattern to it, and it does appear to be real leather. The band came with replacement pins and a small tool to help with that. I easily attached this band t the watch. It fit perfectly and my with loves the look and feel. This is a great value and I highly recommend.

Unfortunately the "print" part of the leather scrapes up very easily, 80 year old scratched it on who knows what within a few hours of installation. Oiled it and it's okay again. Seems sturdy enough though...

It's not often a watch band breaks or wears out - most often it's the battery that fails, then the replacement battery just doesn't work quite right.With this watch, the band broke, and we figured we'd just throw it out. Then my wife found this replacement band online, and for the price, I figured, why not try it. It fits, and was easy to install. Now we just hope it wears for a long time. It looks nice, too, by the way.
