It arrived on time, in a perfect-factory-new Nixon box with all the goodies inside. The watch itself was brand new... never out of the box... had the new face and back stickers on it. The sticker on the face said to hold any button for 5 seconds to turn on, as it had never been even turned on.... this thing came straight from a Nixon factory distributor....awesome! The watch is what I expected as I researched it before I bought it so I knew what to expect.... so it's exactly what I wanted...it's in prefect condition. I've seen reviews where people have dropped it themselves and then claimed the screen was damaged from Amazon.... this thing has a mineral glass face and is covered in stainless steel, it's hammer resistant basically ok... the screen (came) is flawless and i really like the "HD" LCD screen, it almost looks like a smart watch cause there is virtually no pixelation like other "dot-matrix" lcd watch screens.... this thing feels super sturdy and tight... I'm very impressed with all its features....I have tested them all out and they are all really accurate and precise....I will set the altitude at home... go shopping, come home walk to the same spot and it gives me the same elevation as before I left.... very cool. Compass, Temp and Barometric readings are all surprisingly spot on aswell. Band is comfortable, the backlight works as well as the old "Timex Indiglo light" if you know what that is, then you'll be happy with how bright the backlight is on this. I really like the menu driven selection of modes and means of settings, it makes changing the time and units, and selecting modes idiot-proof....I have heard complaints about how it's complicated and or too many steps to select/change things because of the menu operated selection process, but I'm telling you it's really nice to use actually, and you can use the backlight while doing anything on the watch, but you can't push any buttons while submerged, which is fine cause this isn't a diving watch, it's water resistant rating is way more than this land adventure watch needs....I mean, it'll let you know when a storm is brewing before it hits so you really only need a light rain rating at most.... this watch is easy-to-use, way over built (in a most excellent outdoors adventure use way), it feels sturdy and expensive. I plan on buying this watch again in every color because I like the one I bought so much, I love Nixon watches and this has not disappointed at all.... it's my new favorite EDC watch..... yes I would recommend buying it, don't buy the gray one....I want 2 of them (one is none, two is one....in the field anyways...), buy the other colors. This watch is super functional and very cool, you'll love it....I love it...I know/need the usefulness of having a good reliable compass and precise/accurate Elev., Temp., and Baro. readings while being outside....I've used and checked this watch enough times to have confidence in it while in the field (as good as my Casio triple sensor). I'm a land surveyor, Irish and Cherokee, if I'm not thinking about those 4 things while outside for work.... it's cause I'm asleep.... dreaming about them. Buy the watch...

Okay, lot of g-shock watches and then I got his for Christmas from my wife. It's so much easier to use I cannot understand why anyone buys Casio anymore. Everything is easy to use, find, read and instead of a band made of recycled trash painted for $160+ you get a extremely comfortable band with way better band retention system and a back light that athletes you Read the dam watch!

This watch is very easy to use and has many useful features for the outdoors person. Time and date are in big bold icons and are easily read.

If your looking for a watch that actually tells the barometric pressure, temperature and a compass look somewhere else.This watch is cool, bulky and has a nice feel to it. I like the watch. I’m just disappointed in Nixon for selling a product that doesn’t stand up to a Garmin gen 4.The pressure is always off by a shitload, I live in NH it’s Aug 29th 69 degrees and it says it’s 92 out, I removed it from my wrist for 5 minutes and it dropped to 85. The compass is decent but can be off by 20 or so degrees.Lastly I’ll be returning it and going with a Garmin probably, it’s still cool don’t get me wrong. Oh look at that in the time it took me to write that the temperature dropped again to 84.

I bought this watch, and when I got it, there was a ding right on the watch face straight out of the box. More often than not I would attempt to check the time and the watch had reset itself back to 12am along with all my other settings. It kept doing it and doing it so I finally returned it after being assured they would refund me.Once they got the watch back they tried to make up excuses saying that there were "tool" marks on it and basically refused to give me my money back, after they assured me they would and I wouldn't have any trouble getting a refund. I eventually had to send a message to after pay and get them to refund me for the purchase. So I figured maybe it was a one off. So I ordered another. And this one has issues too. Right now it's become completely unresponsive and it's super glitched out.I'll upload pics. But for a $250 watch, I don't expect to have these kinds of issues with it. I have 3 Suunto Cores and not a single one has done anything like this Nixon.So in my opinion this watch is trash, it's not worth the $250 asking price, and Nixons "customer service" if you wanna call it that is just as bad.But a Garmin or Suunto instead. At least you'll be able to depend on it to do what it's supposed to do.Also, I've contacted Nixon again and I'm told that I'll have to send my watch in for "service" leaving me without it for an undisclosed period of time. That's just completely inconvenient and slow.
