about item
  • Handmade in Nepal
  • This listing is for a Tibetan Buddhist embedded yak bone medicine wrist mala/ bracelet for meditation, counting mantras etc. There are 23 yak bone beads altogether inlayed with turquoise and corals and Each bead measures 8mm approximately and beads came from Nepal and hand strung by myself. Prayer beads usually used for meditation, counting mantras, prostration and so on. Wrist malas are used for prostration especially. Malas are worn on the left wrist while not in use.
  • You can usually see monks using malas in those Tibetan monasteries around the world. In those Tibetan Buddhist philosophy university, monks use the regular mala for debating. Anyway this particular mala is great for doing meditation on impermanent, because it is made from dead animal's bone. Just let me know if you have any other questions. How to Adjust the bracelet 1. Hold the mala with the knots at the top.
  • Use thumb and forefinger from each hand to hold beads on either side of the knots. (Left hand hold bead on left, right hand hold bead on right) 2. Pull hands apart and away from the knots. You can pull pretty hard! 3. To tighten, pull small beads at the end of the string.

I received my Mala Bracelet today. This Product came as described and is absolutely beautiful! I would recommend this Product to anyone interested in a healing Mala bracelet. The only thing that would be nice if a form of instruction on different mantras that can be said with the mala during meditation and Tai Chi practice. If the seller could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I wold recommend Hands of Tibet as the source for your Malas!

It is as pictured and the company followed up on the product after I received it. I love that! It came in perfectly packed and shipped. The quality is really nice. There was even a beautiful silk bag to put it in if you were giving it as a gift. It is a heavier bracelet as it should be and the colors are rich and true. This is beautifully made.

The bracelet is lovely and well crafted. You definitely sense that the material is genuine and authentic. I'm enjoying the attention that I get from everyone. I gave it 4 stars because a knot has loosened which I'll have to figure out how to burn the tips back together. This is partially my fault because I slept with it one night and I must have untied the knot. But still I wish the knots were better fastened.

This is very nice. I like it a lot, and hope to wear it on occasion in the future. It would especially go with a red and black outfit, probably any tones of red. It stretches to fit.

The product is beautiful, but it came unraveled just 3 days after wearing it during the day.Don't recommend unless you want to keep figuring out how to re-tie or replace the string with something more user-friendly.

Im very pleased with my purchase. The wrist mala was as described.the bone beads were good quality and were smoothly finished so they feel comfortable against the wrist. It came with a nice brocade bag to carry it in and it was shipped promptly. All in all a very positive experience with Hands of Tibet.

Colors fade off after a week of regular wear. Do not wash your hands with it on. Looks great but colors used will not stay on product.

The bracelet itself is beautiful. It is of good quality as well. My disappointment is that I very much want to wear this as a bracelet but there is no give in the cord and it is difficult to roll over my hand to get to my wrist. I would say I have a medium size women's hand. Keep this in mind for purchasing, if not used as a bracelet I would rate a 5.
