I was really looking forward to this bead as a Valentine's day gift, but the bead pictured is not the same as the bead that I received. The bead in the picture has hearts arranged at random all over the surface, but the one that I got has two lines of opposite facing hearts, which was much more symmetrical than I was hoping. It is also quite a bit smaller than comparable Pandora beads. The bead itself is nice, but is just not what I was expecting.

I ordered two of these and am pleased with them. They are a good size and fit easily on my Pandora bracelet. Since I'm new to Pandora as I put these on my bracelet and moved the actual Pandora charms that came with the gift of the bracelet, I learned that the "real" charms are threaded and screw across the spacer hubs while these charms are large enough inside to just slide over them. No functional difference that I can see. When I went to the Pandora store I was informed that putting non-Pandora charms on the bracelet nullifies the warranty. Again, not a worry for me! These equivalent charms were less than half the price of the Pandora charms. I'm sure I'll buy a mix.
