I bought the 18" silver stainless variation for my son as one of several small religious items for his 1st Communion "gift basket". It is a great cross. Lightweight, but with a heavy-duty build, which applies to both the cross and the chain. The edges/corners look "sharp" but are not. Overall, it is an awesome piece, particularly for under $15.Several reviews refer to this as "masculine". It's sturdy without being too bulky and has no markings or ornate additional carvings, etchings, or decorations. It's a simple, unornate, but very nice-looking cross. I think anyone could wear it. It actually looks quite a bit like the dangly cross earring(s) that Barry Bonds and George Michael wore back in the 1980s/early 1990s.We've had this for a few months, and he wears it occasionally - not daily. So pending any longer-term varnishing, fading, or other issues I expect this to be a beautiful, long-term piece of jewelry he has. Pending those same types of issues, I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in this type of product.I ended up pairing it on one chain with a modernized "dog tag" style pendant that has his name and a passage reference laser etched in - then the pendant was almost exactly the same height/width as the cross. It makes for a pretty cool combo my son loves.5/5 at the time of this rating. Highly recommend.

A Stainless steel cross is actually indestructible, And comes with a beautiful chain. It will never tarnish or discolor In any way. The price is very reasonable for such a quality product.

My husband wears this cross when working out or just casual wear. It maintains its shine and seems to hold up well, no discoloration or staining of his skin. For the price I'd say it was a really good buy.

After receiving and inspecting this jewelry, I am returning it right away.The only positive thing about this item is the nice packaging, but that's where all good ends.I ordered the silver color chain.First, both the chain and the cross are made of some light metal alloy, not stainless steel. They could be some zinc or pewter alloy, or even aluminum based alloy, coated. The coating is a, very bright silver looking finish, too bright and silvery to be the natural color of the base metal, and definitely not the sheen of stainless steel.. I guess that is why the color of the chain in one of the other reviewer's photo turned dark: either the surface coating rubbed off and the base metal oxidized, or the coating itself oxidized.You can see similar cheap, light chains for less at crafts stores like Michael's or Jo Ann's.Second, neither the chain, nor the cross were the same style as shown on the stock photos. All the ad photos show wheat chain style, one of the reasons I ordered this item. Instead, what I received was a curb style chain. Also, the top of the cross is different from the one on the photos. The picture from the review with the tarnished, blackened chain accurately depicts the form and style of the chain and cross I received too.Looking at the review photos of the gold colored version, you can clearly see that where the gold coating wore/rubbed off, the base metal is not stainless steel.Given all this, I wouldn't trust the sellers assurances about the metal being nickel free and non-irritant either.Overall, I think this seller is baiting the prospective buyers with falsely advertising a nice looking stainless steel jewelry for some nice $, but actually ships them some very cheap, dollar store quality, low cost trinkets made of some light weight, who-knows-what-it-is-made-of metals.I would have given zero stars rating, if it would be possible.Buyers beware!
