Can't say it's perfect craftsmenship but it looks great (you can see where the leather begins and ends. There are some small things sticking out, ect). The pillows are sturdy but not as soft as I was expecting. The pillow is made of cardboard, has soft stuffing inside it with a red velvet carpet wraped around it. Behind the pillow you can see where the wrapping ends. They're pretty sturdy, hold their shape and hold the watch in place.Overall it works hopefully holds up will review again if it breaks down or unglues itself. Still working on my watch collection (you can see the Pagani I bought off amazon lol) but I hope the box holds.The travel case is pretty nice and I don't see as many reviews for it. I got the $99 one it's both the box (with Valet Drawer) and the case. Meaning I got the travel case for $15 basically.

Let's put it this way - I've purchased 4-5 of these from Rothwell over the years. I love mine so much I've purchased some for gifts for Dad, friends, nephews.All of mine have been flawless and beautiful, sturdy and a great size for watches and other items like your wallet, flashlight, watch tools and rings & chains.Because of the craftsmanship on these boxes, I purchased a Rothwell watch winder (see my review on winder).

Watch cases tend to fall into 2 categories: low quality, mass produced on one end of the spectrum with bespoke, hand crafted, very expensive on the other end.This case feels very sturdy and the materials are very nice, especially for the price. The manufacturer also added some nice touches on the packaging as well. The case was packaged in a nice inner and outer box giving a presentation similar to that of a high-end wristwatch.The only things that I would change to make this case perfect is to provide slightly larger pillows (I have big wrists so therefore big bracelets) and it would be nice if the locking mechanism would keep the drawer from opening too. I do realize that the lock is mostly decorative, but it would still be a nice touch.

This is a gorgeous watchbox. Great craftsmanship, looks so much more expensive than it costs. My husband is a watch officianado, and absolutely loves this box. Uses the attache box for when we travel.
