I have worn this watch for years, and bought this one for a friend an fellow sailor. It's great for racing starts, and allows you to adjust your start times. My only issue with the watch is when the band fails, you need to get a new one, or figure out how to attach it without a working band. I have recently found the same watch with a replaceable band, and my next Clear Start will be this model.

Once you get it set up properly it is indeed brilliant for starts. However,This watch is a Royal PITA to set up. Not intuitive. Don’t even think about waiting until you’re headed for the race course to set it up. Be ready to read the manual, watch YouTube videos and use all ten fingers to get it configured. Even as you get ready for Race 2, resetting the time is not intuitive at all. You’ll probably capsize before you can figure out which buttons to press.Also, it is not easy to turn on/off. You literally need to hold four buttons in a specific order for 5 seconds.Finally, changing the battery is a terrible experience. Long story, you might consider having a pro change it. I did it, and of course I wasn’t able to get the tiny screws tight enough, and the seals failed and the watch died within minutes of getting near water.I stupidly bought a second one after the first one failed. There’s got to be a better way.

I disliked the fact the watch did not work and came with no instructions. I would not buy this product again and have returned it.
