This watch was everything I had hoped it would be when I ordered it. So far it is keeping great time, and the textured blue face is captivating. The band closing mechanism takes a wee bit of time to get used to, but it gives the appearance of a stretch metal band. I had to remove one link on each side for my wrist, which gave it a perfect fit. I did have one of the cotter pins snap off in this process, but luckily I had a spare. This is my second Seiko automatic watch (I also have an Alpinist) ad this is perfect for those dressier occasions. NOTE: I have yet to test this out at a night time function with dark lighting, but it is awesome in the daytime.

I have a seiko dive watch and wanted a nicer dress type watch.This presage fits me nicely. I like the larger dial. I’m just amazed at the dial and how light reflects.The band is rather large, but I removed two links to fit more snug, it’s very easy.This will be my daily watch. Love it!

First of all, the watch is properly sized as a dress watch (not excessively large), and the bracelet is really nice for this price point. The butterfly clasp was a good choice as a cheap pressed deployant would be horrible (Seiko needs to stop it with that). The case is simple, but beautifully-executed. The dial is way better than it looks in photos. The movement is reliable and accurate enough for a mechanical watch (especially at this price). It hand winds, hacks and looks great. It is a pleasure to wear (excellent bracelet). My problem is the damn hardlex crystal. Seiko puts sapphire in $150 titanium watches, so why not put it in $350-$600 dress watches and divers? I love Seiko, and own over a dozen models from $200 chronographs to $1200 divers and JDM dress watches, but they need to stop putting hardlex in these watches. It is unacceptable.Needless to say, I highly recommend this watch. I just wish Seiko would charge $35 more and include an AR sapphire crystal. Chinese watch brands such as San Martin are a better value at this price, and there is no reason for that to be true.
