I have been very happy with Honolulu Jewelry Co, but some months ago, I mistakenly hit the same posts from NYC company....um no. They kept turning black and I COULD get them shiny again with toothpaste and a soft cloth, but what a pain. BACK TO THESE! And 8MM is perfect for me. They SHOW up well without being overbearingly HUGE._______________________________________________________________OK, it's now FEB 2021. My 6 mm on these old lobes, just too small. I DID feel they were high quality, not the problem, just needed BIGGER size.As usual, came in a very giftable box and seem just as high quality as the 6 mm were.LOVE this company, and I will likely get more from them. This is my second or third purchase. Any time I am looking for sterling silver and they have it, I order from them.Regarding SIZE, I would just say really know what you're looking for. Look at the actual sizes online.Oh, the backs aren't great, I use the clear plastic disk type backs because they hold the earring up better and stronger, but almost ALL earring backs are like that.__________________________________________________________________EDIT: OK, been wearing for awhile now. I don't take them out except to clean the posts about once a week. I sleep, shower in them and they are as shiny and perfect as the day I got them and put them in.__________________________________________________JUST received these and put them on. I will EDIT the following review if anything changes. I tend to wear small silver ball earrings ALL the time, just taking the out to clean them, so we shall see if they withstand me showering and sleeping in them. My last pair, different brand, was still good after a couple years. I just ordered another pair because I lost one.PROS:PRESENTATION: Came in a box. Not super fancy, but nice. Definitely could gift these.QUALITY AND LOOKS: Shiny and looks like quality posts.SIZE: I love the 6mm size. Was wondering if would be too big, but they are great. Not too big, not too subtle. I have short hair and like my earrings to stand out just a wee bit. I could likely have gone to 7mm or 8mm, but any larger would have felt too bulky to me.CONS:Earring backs, but in FAIRNESS, MOST earring studs have backs like these. I got a small bag of the soft plastic ones (they're REALLY inexpensive and I use them for ALL stud earrings) you can just push on the backs and they stay much better for me.

These studs were just perfect for what I needed. I was not wearing earrings daily anymore and noticed when I did wear them the holes were getting smaller and harder for me to find the hole or get the earring in. So I decided I needed to wear something 24 hrs a day. I wanted something hardly there and comfortable even to sleep and shower with. And since they were going to be in all the time I wanted good quality. These are just perfect! They have delivered on everything I needed. And now when I go to wear something different the other earrings go in so much easier than before. I'm preserving the hole instead of letting it slowly close up. These have solved my problem beautifully!

I was reading reviews of earings like this and chose these because another reviewer recommended them. I'm really on the fence with these. Yes, they arrived in a gift box - so what... I purchased them for me. They are not a bright silver color but rather a dark silver color although they are shiny. I've tried a polishing cloth but they still haven't brightened.I purchased the 7mm. The size is ok but the posts are a bit too long to sleep in them. They poke into my neck.

I have never written a review before, but I felt I needed to comment on these earrings. It would have been funny, but they were intended to be a last minute Christmas gift. Package came in good condition. Earring box came in a sealed plastic bag. I was shocked when I opened it! The condition of these earring was ridiculous! One earring was hanging off the card, the earring backs did not fit. The "sterling" balls were tarnished black. I tried cleaning one with my silver polishing cloth, did not help at all. Definitely not sterling silver! They look like the were lost at the bottom of the ocean for 10 years! By far my worst purchase ever from Amazon.

The sterling ball studs are perfect! The quality is excellent and they are so comfortable. The packaging is quite unique as well. I will definitely buy from them again.

Earrings are very nicely made and are just the right size. I will be ordering more earrings from Hawaiian Jewelry as I have never had a problem with any earrings that I have ordered from them. They come in a nicely made box for protection. A company that cares about their products.
