Sometimes on horseshoe barbell rings the balls at the ends are plastic and already arrive cracked or broken. The pearlescent plastic balls on this ring screw on tightly and have held up to about a month of wear and been put on and taken off a few times. The balls don't seem to loosen and I can confidently wear this without worrying suddenly one will get lost. The metal has also not caused me any irritation or any other issues. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a septum ring with pearls!
