I bought these because I'm allergic to most metals, turns out they are not acrylic but in fact metal (unlike what the description says) and now my ears are inflamed.

This is a good taper set, they served their purpose for both my wife and I. The down side to these tapers is how easily the small rubber O rings come off of the plugs. Despite the O rings being easily lost, they will help you stretch your ears.
