I don't usually buy things on Amazon that don't have a lot of reviews. But there aren't that many pocket watches offered, and this one was the only one I could find with the style (simple/plain/classic), material (stainless steel) and movement (battery and quartz) I was looking for. It was inexpensive enough that I took a chance, and I'm so glad I did!This is perfect. It arrived very quickly, beautifully engraved with exactly what I ordered. Its design is elegantly simple outside and it has a more tailored, classic look inside. There's a sweep hand, and the numbers and minute marks are easy to read.It feels light but sturdy. The chain likewise feels sturdy, but I have to admit that it feels a little clunky, like it's just a bit <i>too</i> sturdy. However, I don't think that's a flaw, just my preference; it's not enough to take away a star for, and some people will no doubt prefer it to a chain that was more delicate, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I was pleasantly surprised by the color of the stainless steel. Sometimes, stainless looks very grey, but this doesn't. It probably wouldn't fool most people into thinking it was real silver or white gold, but that's not what I wanted anyway. It's shiny and silvery without being dark or cheap-looking, and that's what I wanted. With the smooth, shiny design, I do expect that it'll become scratched up quickly, but it's not meant to be seen on the wrist but stashed in a pocket, so again...¯\_(ツ)_/¯I love the decorative design on the inside of the lid. It's pretty when you look at it at different angles and the light shines off it; it sort of gives it a cool optical illusion that it's moving.It's a quartz-and-battery movement, not a mechanical movement, so it doesn't need winding, which is also exactly what I wanted.The packaging was superb. The blue-satin-lined box it comes in is quite suitable for gift-giving. There is a small, light blue velvet drawstring bag the watch fits in, too. I think I'm going to put the chain in that and gift it separately, as the watch looks very nice nestled by itself in the blue satin lined box. I'll upload a picture later (if I can remember; I can't currently remember where my phone is, so don't hold your breath! :-D).The shipping envelope was securely packed, with rigid cardboard and bubble wrap. And as I said, it arrived very, very quickly. I ordered on the 24th, and it arrived on the 27th! That's incredible speed!The packaging inside indicated that the sellers are a small, private company, and I love that. This was a perfect transaction, and I'm off to see what else they sell, as I like supporting small business.
