This necklace is well made and it does not tarnish. It keeps it shine just like real gold. I wear it everyday since I bought it for Christmas. I bought one for me and my daughter and my daughter is rough on necklaces and it holds up well. Most of her necklaces tarnishes but this one hasn’t. My daughter wears hers in the shower and pool and it hasn’t turned color yet. Although, it is super flimsy. I can easily bend it so you have to be super gentle when taking it out of the package
