This necklace is well made and it does not tarnish. It keeps it shine just like real gold. I wear it everyday since I bought it for Christmas. My daughter wears hers in the shower and pool and it hasn’t turned color yet. Although, it is super flimsy. I can easily bend it so you have to be super gentle when taking it out of the package
