I pierced my own ears with other products ordered on amazon. For the initial piercing I used large studs with the screw on backs, threaded through the needles that leave the hollow tubing that’s typically used for IVs. I’ve seen tattoo artists pierce ears use them. After a month, I switched them to these, and they’re great. Simple and don’t hurt when laying down on my side. I don’t take them out very often, they look good next to anything I switch out in the main piercing.

These said real gold however they made my ears extremely swollen. I am allergic to costume jewelry. Whole point of purchase missed.
