The picture of this product does not do it justice. I was a bit skeptical at first and when it arrived I was not disappointed. The rim of the medal has a shiny finish and the center of the medal has a satin finish giving the medal an overall great appearance. The box chain is excellent quality as well even though it does not have a lobster claw clasp. It is about the size of a nickel. Great item, great price!

I've been hunting for a reasonably priced SS St Christopher medal for about three years. My husband had one from the 60's that was plated and really messed up. He wears it sometimes but you can't tell what it is because the brown center is no longer transparent. I was looking for a medal 25mm (quarter size) across but they were not to my liking and very pricy. This is about 20mm, sort of between the size of a dime and a nickel. It's very shiny and actually looks bigger because of the "bling". My husband loves it and told me that this is closer to the size the medals were before they became popular with surfers back in the day. I would have given it 5 stars if it were just a little more substantial in weight. I really like the clarity of the figures, some medals look very sloppy and the figures are nondescript.

The medallion is very nice and detailed because it is deeply stamped. It looks exactly as pictured, it is light in weight and would not look good on a heavier chain. It looks beautiful on the cut rope selected for it that was purchased separate.I would highly recommend this as a gift for a teen or woman.

I purchased this medal for my fourteen year old son for his Confirmation as St. Michael is his patron saint. It is beautiful, well made, shiny and nice detail. It is a good size for his frame and he is wearing it on his chain with his crucifix. Might be a little small for a large man. Would definitely purchase again. It arrived sooner than promised.

I bought this for my 17 yr old son, replacing a medal/chain that he broke a while back. The chain is extremely delicate....it looks almost feminine ...just not what I'm used to , I suppose, when purchasing a men's chain. The medal is as pictured, although again seems a bit feminine. BUT....my teenage son did like it. He put it on right away. I just don't think it will last. :((

Very nice St. Michael pendant and silver chain. It was given as a first communion present for my son and Godson. It is well carved and easy to read. The chain is not light weight, and it is long enough to take the boys through adulthood. It was a great buy!

The medal is beautiful and the chain is also. Though I do wish they printed the size of the box chain in the ad, such as mm, as they do on gold chains. It was for my son and he thinks the chain is feminine looking. So now he is wanting a larger box chain for the medal. And now its going to cost me more $$. The chain is so small you can't put the necklace on with out help. A lobster claw clasp would be better on it than a spring clasp. I think next time if I order thru this company I would try and ask questions if I could before buying.
