Don't get me wrong.... it's a beautiful ring but it is on the dark green side, looking almost like onyx unless it's in direct white light. (It looks like the entire stone is as dark as the darkest color you see in the pic). It is a cocktail ring so it is definitely not for every day. I returned it because it was not what I was hoping for. I was looking for a sparking bright green emerald.
