It's perfect for new/fresh piercings. It gives them room to sweall without your lip eating the bar. I used these for one of my snake bites and my Medusa. They're pretty cute too. They are a internal thread so it's like a regular piercing ball, not the outer thread where you screw it into the bar. (If that makes sense) the tops are a bit small so it really depends if you like bigger balls for jewelry or not

Long bar, perfect, the only issue, the stones have fallen out 2 of the 4. Other than that....the bar is great length.
