I'm actually pleasantly by these chains. They're pretty light and what I would consider more on the dainty side, but as a guy with tiny wrists these were *almost* the perfect size. I would consider these a tad on the long side for me (just over 7.5"), but as they're simple metal chains, you can take some pliers and adjust the sizing (on some of them anyways). I don't wear them in the shower so haven't seen if they tarnish but I don't feel like they'd fall apart anytime soon.
