I really like the paperclip chain design. The entire esthetic of the necklace is understated and elegant. The gold is not overly bright or shiny so it does look a bit richer. I love that the closure is in the front and integrated into the design- so smart.It certainly looks more expensive than it is- I have worn it during face time meetings, and it was noticeable but not overly so.If you are giving this as a gift, I would recomend getting a nice gift box for it- it only comes in a plastic wrapper- since it was for myself, I actually appreciated the minimal packaging.

This is a very bright, shiny gold, and I love the modern hammered look of the pendant. But the best thing about this necklace is that it closes in the front using a toggle that fits through the circle above the pendant! My mom is visiting me tomorrow and I'm going to give this to her is she can manage the little toggle closure. She has arthritis and can't manage those tiny buttons / levers / loop closures that connect behind the neck that most necklaces have. Update - my 92 year old mom with severe arthritis in her hands was able to easily fasten this necklace so I gave it to her! She loves it!
