The perfect look for the gothic type of person or even the Victorian type. It is rich looking in style and beautifully designed. It is a looker of note and when I display my hand to pay or just reach out people do ask where I got it from and they always comment about how good it looks on my hand. If you wear this ring you feel special and well-dressed. I think for the amount of money I paid it is definitely worth every cent. I love to take a glimpse every now and again just to make sure it is still on my finger. Absolutely a beauty!

Lovely setting, beautiful stone. But the gold plating is a bit too bold and yellow for my taste, especially contrasted with the dark antiquing. In time, the gold will wear off, but I don't know what color the base metal underneath is.Despite its brassiness, I really like everything else about this ring, and I think the price is very reasonable for a real garnet.

I thought the black would be carved into the gold, but its not, it's just stamped on it. Also the red is kind of a brownish red, so the stone is not real pretty.
