Relative to the price listed, I'd say this set of earrings has a reasonable value that wouldn't leave anyone terribly upset if quality issues did arise, and they clearly did when I inspected and tested this item.First off, the earrings come in a cardstock envelope, no box or special packaging, with each pair individually wrapped in mini cellophane bags. This is about what you'd expect when receiving something you bought wholesale, so I wouldn't really gift this set to anyone in its "as received" form, as it would then be quite obvious you weren't gifting high end or expensive jewelry.The posts are somewhat flexible and easily bent, and with the earrings where the stone was sitting inside a rim, all of the posts were off center on the back of the setting. Upon closer inspection of the listing photos, I noticed that this was apparent in the picture of the set, so this seems like an intentional part of the design, but some might see it as a defect and find it off-putting. However, once you put the earring in your ear, it's not like anyone can tell from the outside where the post is positioned on the back.The stones and the posts appear shiny and I didn't notice any other defects or problems aside from what I described above, the earrings fit comfortably through the piercing in my ear and I doubt any issues will arise with comfort or allergic reactions. I intend to wear these in a new ear piercing once that happens and I feel confident about doing so, but at the same time, I probably wouldn't gift this set to someone, without some modifications to the packaging. You'd be better off perhaps taking the earrings out of the packaging and putting them in a box with a velvet backer where the stones can really shine in contrast to the dark background, or gifting them in combination with a dangle earring as opposed to on their own.
