It's best to relax your ear lobes with hot water or in the shower before starting the stretching process. The stretching will probably sting, but it should not cause a lot of pain. Wash the area daily with soap and try not to touch it throughout the day to prevent infection.

I got a set of tapers for gauging for Christmas, the ones that were meant to transition from 8-0 had too severe a jump up and I couldn't get them through without risking a tear. So I got these because they are way more gradual. They are gorgeous! Also very heavy... But they make a fantastic ringing noise when they are hit, like a windchime.

Beautiful color but HEAVY. The size is smaller than advertised. I ordered the 00 gauge and they fit like a 0 gauge and fall out of my lobes. The only way I can make them stay in is to wear silicone tunnels and thread the tapers through
