These are awful earrings. If you have been allergic to ANY metal before these are not for you. One of my ears is so swollen you can’t see the stretched hole anymore(as seen in picture)I had first thought it was the weight that made my ears feel hot, they aren’t very heavy at all but I was previously wearing teeny tiny 3.2 mm (gauge) and 8mm diameter earrings. But two days later my ears are raw, my entire lobe is hot, itchy and so painful I can’t stand it. As a result I now have to take all earrings out and let them heal probably having to stretch them back a little bit to 3.2mm.Also, the title of the earring says “ Sythetic Opal” which is not what this earring is made from. It’s a plastic cobochon.... I mean. I guess plastic is synthetic. So. But if you’re expecting an ACTUAL stone , don’t be fooled.You get what you pay for and these are $12 and I should know better when it comes to body jewelry.

I really love these! They came in excellent condition, and they're absolutely gorgeous to look at. I will say I wish the backs were a little nicer since you can see quite a bit of them when you turn your head. But they're a really nice weight--heavy enough to give a bit of a pull but not tugging my earlobes off my head--and they're really adorable to wear. I'm at a 4g right now and I do loop them through my silicone tunnels when I wear them, so I can't attest to the quality of the metal. I have very sensitive ears so I tend to do that with any ear weights I wear just to be on the safe side. Overall, for the price, I'd say go for it and try them out. They're gorgeous.

I bought these exact pair of earrings a couple years ago and loved the look and weight of them. I wore them very often, which you can see the quality of it did go down a bit. I bought them again really because they are super cute, but if you’re looking for some thing with more durability to last a long time, these may not be for you.

I was hesitant on buying these earrings given the reviews. sadly the reviews are VERY accurate. The "imitation" opals don't even look very good, its like a clear acrylic with some holographic strings set in them. I am TERRIFIED to wear them because I can see the soldering marks where it looks like the metal had been broken, put back together, than resold. If i wear them they will probably break putting them in or taking them out. I would NOT recommend these to any one.Update. Finally wore these earrings after getting up the courage in the shape they were. They are very flimsy putting them in and made it hard to feel confident the would not break. They did hold together for the night but broke when i set it down on my bathroom sink. Its been way to long to replace, so here we are.
