Okay, so looking through insta, I kept seeing herringbone necklaces. I kept getting ads for different brands but the price range was always either $70-300+ Or like 35 dollars plus shipping. So I was looking for a cheaper alternative, possibly to try the style before committing and buying a high quality one.I got one 5mm and two 3mm chains. Here are my notes.1. They feel heavy (in a good way), cold to the first touch, so far so good.2. Because the necklace itself is a little weighted, the clasp felt a little light, but as far as I can tell, it works smoothly.3. The color compared to my other gold jewelry is slightly more yellow by 1-2 shades. Not a big deal, but if you have light yellow gold jewelry, it might make this look ehhh you know what I mean. BUT when it’s in the light, you can’t tell the difference. So just wear it with your more yellow jewelry.4. The 5mm looks darker than the 3mm in person by one shade. In the pictures or in the light, you can’t tell much.5. Taking about color, the pictures make them look reaaaally yellow, but in real life (they still look yellow) but this type of necklace reflects so much light, it goes from white to yellow gold to black when it folds and moves.6. Note that it’s not a super silky herringbone necklace, but it still is that effect.7. The box and bag it comes in is cute, maybe not giftable without wrapping, but close! The chain comes in a little thick ziplock, a care pamphlet, the dust bag and the box.Overall: for the price, It was worth it, and fast because of prime shipping. If I got this from a different store for 70+ dollars, I wouldn’t be upset. If this was 150+ I would be slightly disappointed with the color. But like I said, you can’t tell much once it’s on because of the reflecting light. So I guess, it’s far so good!I wrote some disappointing things about the color, but for the price and quality, can’t complain much! In fact it’s a solid 9/10.
