This Simulated Alexandrite is very similar to the natural one, with a much lower price. The transition from blue to red is unbelievable. Test it by putting the ring near a candle or incandescent light bulb. You may not have one in your house anymore. I found my old microwave has one and many refrigerators and ovens still have them. I also think it would take an expert on gems to tell the difference between this stone and a real one.. If you want a nice dress ring suitable for women or men, this might be it. But this one is big, a lady might want to get a smaller one.

BEAUTIFUL, there is change in color under different light, the ring style is sleek and a robust masculine look. The stones surrounding add good amount of bling and the cut is nice. The only issue I had with it is that the alexandrite very slightly is loose within its holding so if I shake the ring you can hear it click within the holding but it's something very minimal that doesn't draw away from the beauty and the presence of this piece

I don't like leaving negative reviews so I will try to keep it neutral. The stone is big, but please remember it is a color change sapphire and will never display green, red or teal. The stone will change many shades of purple and mauve. The ring was way to big for my finger, lots of silver. The cz's look like cz'z. The picture is way prettier than the actual ring. If you are looking for an show stopping alexandrite this one is not for you, if your looking to save a buck buy one and have it set in a ring. I had to return it; Peora's customer service however is outstanding, they gave me a full refund with no difficulty, and where happy to help me and answer every one of my questions.

Large ring of excellent quality with beautiful large color change Alexandrite. The stone changes from blue green to raspberry color when the light source changes. A bit large and showy but still very nice and of good quality closer to fine jewelry.
