The pendant is a tiny bit smaller than I had expected, but the piece is still beautiful. It is otherwise quite true to the picture, only prettier, as you pictures never seem to quite capture the beauty of the actual stones. The black opal, is a combination of blues, greens, reds, and oranges, in fairly equal amounts of each, and a few flecks of yellow/gold, so it's really quite balanced. It's nice and "fiery" when the light hits it, and it's set off nicely by the silver setting. Box chains are my favorite, and Peora usually puts their pendants in nice box chains, which makes it an excellent value. I have bought several pieces from this company and have been happy with all of them.

Eh, I think it's a pretty solid piece, very pretty stone even if it doesn't look entirely 100% natural, good stone size, the shape of the pendant setting is very elegant, the box and presentation is every bit as good as say, James Avery or something along those lines... Really the only draw back, in my opinion, is the chain width. I know women like dainty things as they look elegant and keep one from looking to garrish and/or keep your jewelry from looking like costume jewelry, BUT this thing is a little too chinsey... It could honestly stand to be twice as thick and still accomplish the "dainty elegant" look. However, that is an easy fix as sterling silver box-chains aren't too overly expensive or hard to come by... I'd give it 4.5 stars and my recommendation to buy it, honestly looks just as good as anything at Zales.

Beautiful, small pendant that I wear on a 15" chain and it sits at the base of my throat. The stone catches the light in a way that make the pendant sparkle with lots of colors. I get a lot of complements on the pendant and since there are so many colors in the stone I wear it with different colored tops.
