When I opened the box, wow-wee-wow-wow! My breath was taken away. As I had not ordered from this company or this lab created black fire opal of any kind before, I wasn't sure what to expect. The color was perfect. The shape was perfect not only to display the stones but in its symmetry. I will go back to this AMZ vendor and order another piece.

The media could not be loaded. Well made, feels sturdy. Very pretty to look at. The color is where it's at. First opened it on my bed and the necklace reflected my green & black blanket. Took it in the other room and saw the change. Really a mesmerizing piece. Chain is good quality, the cross sits right above me breasts. Colors slightly dark but shine bright, a strange contrast but as I said so so pretty. If you're on the fence, get it. It matched my high hopes.

As beautiful as it looks in the photo, with thick stones that draw you into their depths and kaleidoscopic colors. You can buy "black" opals or laminated opals (very thin with a black backing that brings out the colors) but nothing comparable to these "created" opals has been available from mines anywhere at any price for many years.

Just received my lab created black fire opal cross and I was pleasantly surprised. The cross is set in sliver, stones are black with lots of red and green fire. I really like it and so does my husband. My birthstone is opal so I am constantly looking for new and different opal essence pieces of jewelry to add to my collection. This is a lab created piece but do not let that detour you away from this necklace. If you love and appreciate opals you won't be disappointed.
