The tunnels are internally threaded so they screw in nicely and comfortably. They also have flared ends to stay in your earlobes. The bat dangle is really cute and isn't very noticeable while wearing and the magnetic connection is quite strong, so you won't have to worry about it falling out easily. My only minor complaint is that the bat charm is very lightweight compared to the magnetic connection, therefore the two switch places. I'd recommend making the bat charms out of something with a little more weight than the magnets and that would solve a lot of these complaints. But not enough for me to rate it less than 5 stars. I might add a little gemstone embellishment at the bottom of my charms to keep them weighted down.
