I'd never heard of floating display cases before seeing these, and I thought they might be an interesting way to display my antique jewelry collection. And indeed, they look pretty cool. They're fairly easy to use. It takes some effort to get everything arranged just so inside the box, but once it's shut in, it stays firmly suspended and doesn't move. I do think thinner items look better though, because the more dimensionality, the more light reflection there is from the warping of the membranes around the item. You can see this effect in the accompanying photo - the pin, which is deeper, has more glare. Since countertop and shelf space are already at a premium in my house (the maximalist's lament,) I decided to hang these on the wall with tiny nails.

Perfect to display my small minerals and gemstones. If you plan on selling small minerals this would be cool to include with the purchase.
