Owl lovers, Harry Potter enthusiasts, tree of life fansThis is a lovely, substantial item but not entirely portrayed accurately in prior reviews. The item is not oversized. It is about the size of a quarter, but it is several millimeters thick as the stone protrudes the setting, which I think is a nice feature if you wanted to wear it in reverse at times. The bottom is NOT uneven but is symmetrical. I hope the setting is stainless as described. The chain is lovely, longer than you usually receive with pendants, and more substantial than expected. The stone (amethyst) is a lovely color. Holding to the light you will see dark and light tones of purple.Cons:I don't know if the eyes are genuine gemstones or if they are glued on.The chain came with an annoying charm with the brand logo on it. I found it hard to remove this without a tool. This was the most annoying thing about the item.I would have liked a choice in chain size.I didn't like that the pendant and chain were shipped together in a pouch whereas the chain could have scratched the stone. Fortunately, it didn't seem to.
