I'm a relatively new collector, and I've reached the point where I needed to either buy a watch winder, or to marry one. Both options can be costly, but modern electrical watch winders are quieter than spouses so I've been looking around for a couple of months before selecting this one -- which I just received today. I am genuinely impressed with it, and I'm not easy to impress. The device came packed as if it were a Ming Dynasty vase, and I can see why. These folks obviously take pride in their craftsmanship. The outer case is a heavy wood with a black piano finish, and the inner panel holding the turntables is a beautiful reddish-brown wood grain. The fit and alignment of the components is precise. There's a glass window to monitor the watches, and a light for nighttime viewing. I'd be proud to display this device anywhere.I can't compare the noise level to competing devices, but there's really no noise to speak of. Each turntable has its own motor, and each has separate controls. This, of course, reduces the load on each motor and improves their lifespan. Most "budget" winders seem to come with perhaps 4 "modes", which is a preset combination of turn directions (clockwise, counter-clockwise, or both) and number of turns per day. The problem is, every watch requires different settings, and limiting the options to 4 too often means overwinding or underwinding. This device, however, has two settings knobs for each watch, i.e. one knob for direction of turn, and a second control for the number of turns per day. This is ideal, and it's a feature commonly found on costlier winders.Watch winders for three watches or more are generally quite pricey unless they cut costs by having each motor drive two watches. This device, which is in the $200 range, would be a bargain even if it were made of plastic and came with only rudimentary controls. Considering the high quality of this winder, I imagine this low cost is an introductory offer to build up a customer base. I, for one, am thrilled to have found this winder and to have paid so little for it!

Likes - good quality build, very quite motors, easy to remove and insert watch holders, multi-speed and multi-directional individual controlsDislikes - chemical smell when the door is opened, blue light (i find the color to be annoying, but fortunately the light can be turned off)Overall - I'd still recommend it.

Loving this watch winder so far. The individual watch holders are the spring loaded ones which I prefer over the pillows. It's sturdy and easy to pull in and out of the spinners. The led blue light is a really nice touch. The motors so far are pretty quite and you can adjust the time and turns. Now we have to see how long the motors last.

Arrived on time, well packaged. Took a little time figuring out how to put the watches on as there were no instructions for that. Once we did, it was a quick set up. The winder is beautifully made and when in operation the blue lights make it mesmerizing. Action is smooth and so quiet that you can not even tell it is on. Perfect gift for my husband.

I was looking for a new watch winder as my collection expanded, and my current wolf winder of 10+ Years became noisier and noisier. I came across this one and liked the balance of features, perceived quality, and cost. It seems well built and I really like the design but for one operating flaw that for automatic watches is really unforgivable. it's to do with the rotation pause function when the doors are opened - which does not pause them but resets the whole program to restart! You can get around this by turning that feature off, but it defeats the purpose.Customer service confirmed it's the equivalent of power cycling the unit.... The problem with this is, if you open the unit first thing to put a watch on and wear it for the day, then put the watch back at the end of the day before bed, the unit will run for 12 hours/all day, then start again for 12 hours when you goto bed. This does not allow the watches the rest cycle, which is better for Automatic watches to allow the main springs to unwind somewhat and release the pressure, so this is a flaw.As I said above, you can disable this function and time your removal/replacement of the watch when the winders are not turning (easy to do as it only turns for 1 min at a time before resting for a few mins) but just something to be aware of.The other thing I will add, whilst it seems good quality, one of the rotors is definitely moving slower than the others by some margin so will not achieve the same TPD, and the LED lights flicker intermittently for no reason, which makes me question overall quality. I will be returning and trying another brand which is a same as it really is a stylish piece.

I own two other watch winders. This one is just as good as the other ones that cost twice as much. The build quality is top-notch. The mechanism is whisper quiet. The settings provide all the flexibility that you need.

I appreciated the features that the watch winders provide and the unit worked well for about a year. However, after being stored for a few months the winders no longer work…External finishes are okay, but disappointing reliability even with the discounted price.
