I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled after wearing and enjoying this watch for a couple of days. The photos on amazon don't do it justice as the brushed gray dial is beautiful and really makes the black sub-dials pop. The applied markers and overall quality and look of the dial and case are astounding for such a budget watch (it was around $130). Of course all of the other qualities of an Orient brand watch are here - the chronograph works great and is easy to work and read and the quartz movement (I think its solar as well) will, I am sure, be very accurate. The steel bracelet is fine but, as you can see from the pics, I have it on a single stitch leather strap and it looks great. At a "strapaholic" 22mm lug width this watch can go with a large variety of straps. Very highly recommended especially at the current listed price.

This watch is really fantastic one! With reallly cool look, really accurate, and very nice price for this solar powered Orient chronograph. No need to many words, cause its Orient and really made in Japan.

Very nice watch and…is Orient!

The media could not be loaded.  So like I stated, it's absolutely the most beautiful chronograph in this price range. Orient makes beautiful watches and make sure you get the JDM in this Neo 70s solar. The only reason I give it four stars is because1) The bracelet is absolute garbage and needs to be replaced immediately.2) Even though the date window is in the 4:30 position, which I actually like, it's recessed too far back and just looks bad and is too small. They need to bring it up closer to the dial and make it just ever so slightly bigger.3) It's not a true panda...the face of the dial is not white. It's more of a silver. However, this watch is stellar for the price. Everything on this watch lines up so perfectly like it was in the $10K price range. Now I will accept the fact that the bracelet is garbage because I want them to put more money in the actual making of the watch. However, I did spend $65 on the Miltat engineer bracelet, which is actually solid and of excellent construction. Unfortunately it looks bad on the watch. So the NATO strap your witnessing was $4 from Temu and it looks way better. I have tons and tons of straps and bracelets and this one looked the best in my opinion. I did try and find a suede burgundy Zulu NATO but no luck. The attention to detail on this watch is immaculate. The chronograph lands absolutely perfect back on the 12 when it's reset. The loom could be better, but this watch is just simply beautiful. I have a 7 and 3/4 in size wrist and big hands so smaller watches do not look good on my wrist. I believe if I'm not mistaken, this is slightly bigger in case diameter than the Seiko Panda. I have a Seiko PADI Prospex Pepsi, and a Captain Willard. But I also have an Orient open heart in blue mother of pearl, and now this orient. I wanted a panda but there was no reason to get another Seiko at that price when, if I'm not mistaken, this uses a Seiko because Seiko owns Orient. Anyways. No regrets buying this at $192. But you must get it from Amazon Japan JDM. I hope this review helped.

I wanted to add a chronograph watch to my collection so I have done my due diligence in research. The Orient Panda was my choice and I do not regret it. The watch looks really nice in person and yes, it is a strap monster. It really shines with a rally leather strap. Other reviewers who said they are returning because the hands do not align properly on the markers do not know that it is easily adjustable, which I myself have done upon receiving it. I also appreciate the fact that it is a solar powered mecha-quartz watch, that I don't have to worry about battery for a long time. I think Orient has done a really nice job with this watch!

Many watch fans are after a panda, and this one is really very nice and pretty cool that it is solar powered. Very nice price on this one, and written about online with the highest praise…

Beautiful watch at this price point. I had been eyeing this model for years and jumped when the price dropped. My only complaint is that the stainless steel band feels very cheap. My budget Pagani has a much nicer band for a fraction of the price. Not a huge deal for me as I planned to swap the band anyway as seen in the photos.

This is my 6th Orient watch and I'm a big fan. I hesitated buying a chronograph as I am not particularly fond of "busy" watch faces but this one (grey) is stunning and is much easier to read than some others I have seen. The band is typical of watches at this price point, so its not something to write home about...but...the watch itself is beautiful. The fact that its solar makes it unique for me as I have only one other solar watch (a Seiko) which has always run great. I definitely recommend this watch.
