The grey color flatters a most other colors, allowing them to stand out. Unlike black, nothing gets lost in the darkness. Unlike pure white, nothing is washed out. The only wish I have is that the display was larger. The area meant for displaying the necklace is only about 2/3 of the area of the display as a whole. A sharp, delineated edge falls off father up the display than the stock photos indicate. This display isn't suitable for long or large necklaces. They grey color is its stand-out feature and the reason to purchase this. While it hasn't comparatively drawn as many customers at craft fairs and shows, I use this display regularly to photograph delicately colored objects, such as pearls and chalcedony. The wood base is real (mine came slightly damaged and needed an application of Old English stain), and the fabric material, while not flocked, has a soft texture to it. This is a quality display among so many cheap ones out there. It's worth the money. Overall, I recommend it.

I was shocked at the small size of this necklace display. I do not own any necklaces that would fit the tiny size of the bust display. A bracelet might fit. The bust itself is a gray color, IMO not appealing. The bust arrived broken off the base so I'm returning it. No chance I will repurchase it.

I used this stand with my light box to photograph my jewelry designs. The stand is a perfect color for showing off both light and dark colored gemstones which means I only have to position one set of stands to capture the entire line. The orientation is perfect for shooting from the top. You can perfectly position and drape the necklaces.

The quality of this display item is 5 star. The false advertisement of how big the picture makes it look is extremely misleading. The necklace in the photo must be very small. If you want to display small necklaces then this perfect. But only for small items. I placed a sharpie pen for size.
