I'm a fan of wristwatches and own several dozen, though I rarely buy the expensive name-brand watches that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. This is what's generally called a "knock-off"; a no-name Chinese importer who buys quartz movements in bulk, slaps them in a watch case and ships 'em out. This particular one is much better built than what's typical of the genre: solid glass crystal, good case finish, secure and firm stem, smooth movement and calendar, quality leather watch band. You can find the same watch for somewhat less money on a variety of sites, but for the extra few bucks you get Amazon to stand behind it. Buy it because you like the look and style of it, with assurance that it's going to keep time just as well as a Rolex.
