This watch is not fancy, but it looks professional enough for me, and keeps the time. The wristband is made out of a rubbery material that does not feel bad on my arm and lets me forget that I am wearing it over the course of the day. I personally like a watch that cannot make sounds and lets me know what time it is without my having to press a button to turn on the display. So this one is perfect for me. Not sure what makes this a "Nurse Watch."

We have been searching for a basic watch that does what watches are supposed to do: Tell you what time it is. This "nurse watch" does just that. It does it as a durable package sheathed in a monolithic silicone band that provides comfortable wear. The rubber wraps the outer edge of the watch, protecting it from casual bumps and impacts. It does not, however, project above the crystal, so it is possible to scratch or crack the face if the impact point is above the protective rubber. The dial is easy to read and the sweep hand is large enough to allow accurate timing at a glance. Besides the large numerals denoting 12 hour time, there are smaller 24 hour numerals denoting 13 through 24 in red and just inboard from the larger black 1 through 12 numerals. The single stem is easy to manipulate for setting time. This watch is perfect in its basic functions. We received this watch to serve one additional function, to tell time while it is totally dark while in bed. The thing that attracted us was the claim of "luminous." We hoped it was a battery powered luminescence. Unfortunately, the face is not back lit. It is a glow-in-the-dark face that requires charging by artificial or natural light. When we opened the box, we took the watch into a closet to test the luminous feature. It was dark. We then shone an LED flashlight onto the face for a few seconds and the face shone brightly. We're not sure how long it retains its luminescence, but testing the next day resulted in a dark face as it wasn't exposed to bright light (though it was left on top of the desk away from windows). Obviously, if this is daily wear for you, it will probably recharge throughout the day. Again, just how long you will be able to read the dial after the lights are turned off is questionable. Regardless, this value-priced watch performed its basic task and is keeping good time.

The material around the watch is so soft and comfortable. I have thick wrists so I was worried about it not fitting but I had no issues. It was not too tight and not too loose. I am sensitive to metals and have sensitive skin so it was important for me to find a watch that is comfortable. I wasn’t let down. It was easy to set to the correct time as well. And surprise, it’s glow in the dark! I was excited to find this out. Overall, it’s a great watch for school and nursing school.
