These would have been perfect for what I needed if the metal had been harder. Now to be fair, I wasn't using it on watch bands, but I was using them for a similar pin-punching out job. Unfortunately they bend pretty easily because the metal isn't hardened much. You can bend them with your hand if you wanted.Thankfully there's multiple sizes and two replacement tips for each in the package, so they did work even though I now only have one unbent punch left afterwards. Perhaps on watch bands they are sufficient, but it seems even just a small step up in difficulty is too much for these. I'm only taking one star off because I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it works for its intended purpose just fine.

I am quite impressed at the quality of these watch link tools for the price. I had a pin and collar link steel bracelet that I had trouble adjusting using my standard link removal tool and was worried that (like my other tool) I would bend the pin on the tool before the link came off but no chance, these tools worked great! I had the bracelet properly sized in no time. Highly recommended.
