The feathers are one-sided. The other side is smooth and flat. The chain and feather pendant are detachable, so if you think the chain is too long or the pendant is too big, you can match it with other jewelry separately. This necklace, though for men, is really nice and can be worn by women. Can be also used as a sweater chain for fall and winter.

It's very beautiful and looks high quality. Not too large for a man. And the chain appears strong, not flimsy. The center stone was scratched, but it buffed out fine. Obviously not a real stone... but it didn't look tacky. We may replace the stone at some point. But overall a great product
