This broke the first time I put it on. It’s so delicate and thin, but most significantly, the chain links are open— not soldered shut. So with the slightest of tension, the links open right up and fall apart. The extension chain is real silver, which is why I bought it. But silver is soft and more malleable. With a stainless steel chain, the links wouldn’t stretch and open up so easily. You could get a jeweler to solder the links shut, but that would be expensive. Just get an extension from a jeweler.

Pretty and versatile! Easily makes necklace super adjustable. Comes with a nice little polishing cloth too. Affordable. Especially makes those 16in necklaces way more versatile for any outfit or neckline. Not for a super thick necklace though, as it seems a touch on the flimsy side so fair warning. I haven’t broken one yet and hoping I don’t but just be warned, might wanna stick with lighter weight things.
