I just wanted a watch from Timex and I was excited about the Timex automatics. This watch is fun and a good value. I find myself wearing it more than I expected to. I really dislike the date magnifier and the bezel insert to me looks cheap in person. I think if I popped the bezel insert off and replaced it with a ceramic the watch would look flawless. It keeps great time too.

There is not a built in light (unless the reference is to the Luminous hands and markers)Glows in the dark pretty well. I have yet to wear the watch underwater, so I cannot speak to resistance. Comfortable, soft leather strap.Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Timex NAVI XL is a great everyday watch with a non-hacking Miyota movement (8000-series). I have found accuracy at +/- 5secs per day and commute 9miles to work on a bicycle. Watch keeps tracking accurately throughout 18 mile commute. Bezel is more of a muted red color and clicks uni-directional Applied markers with lume is Ok. Pencil-type hands include a lighter-shade if lume compared to markers and is again, OK. Overall solid value for an everyday watch.

The watch has gained three minutes over three weeks. The weighted wheel is audible when spinning clockwise. The case, glass, bezel, and strap feel like they are made of quality materials. It is wearing well and appears to handle abuse without suffering damages.

This was the first watch I bought when I started to look at mechanical watches. Timex.An auto mechanical design. Stunning colors. Beautiful leather band. The magnifier over the date and the hands with the viewer are the added details that make it exceptional- all for less than 300$.Only thing that’s not perfect- the crown isn’t a screw in so it’s probably not a good swimmer. Not that you’d want to out that leather band in the water but- just a note about that.

The highest price I have EVER paid for a Timex! I was just drawn to the design. The red bezel made it very appealing. The leather band, too, was attractive to me because of the numerous failures I have experienced with other watch bands. This one is really BEEFY. I love almost everything about this watch, EXCEPT that the crown is not a screw-down crown. That in itself is not a big deal. However, to wind the watch you leave the crown in the full closed position, and this means that your thumb and finger will rub constantly against the protective crown guards (which is kinda cheesy). Anyway, I gladly added this to my "must wear" watch group.
