The chain/rope on the necklace is definitely not 27 inches as advertised nor can it physically hang as low as the images on the product show i placed it next to another necklace with a 28 inch chain and it looks to be about 3-5 inches shorter. The necklace only extends it can't be unhooked to put on so it's rather difficult to put on and even more difficult as well as uncomfortable to take off. It may work well for you if you have a smaller head but it's very difficult to put on if you have an average size head or larger.
